The National Association of Charcoal Producers, Dealers, Exporters and Afforestation of Nigeria (NACPDEAN) has appointed Mr Ebenezer Akarah, also known as ‘Alex ’, as the new National Chief Strategy Officer.

Akarah’s media aide, Emmanuel Asogwa, also known as ‘Moralmore’, announced this on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to the statement, Akarah stated that his appointment aims to strengthen the charcoal sector through responsible production, afforestation, improved market access, and greater collaboration among industry stakeholders.

“I am prepared to work with the association’s leadership and stakeholders to advance the sector’s development.

“I look forward to working closely with the association’s leadership and stakeholders to advance our shared objectives,” he said.

He emphasised the importance of strategic engagement and institutional partnerships in creating investment opportunities and expanding the sector’s reach.

“Strategic engagement and international cooperation are essential for strengthening partnerships, facilitating investment, and improving market access for Nigerian charcoal producers and exporters.

“My appointment offers an opportunity to leverage strategic partnerships and stakeholder collaboration to support the association’s objectives and promote sustainable growth in Nigeria’s charcoal industry,” Akarah said.
