A Federal High Court in Abuja issued a warrant of arrest against a British citizen, Andrew Wynne, and several other Nigerians. The allegations include a plot to remove President Bola Tinubu through unconstitutional means and involvement in conspiracy, treason, inciting to mutiny, inciting disaffection to the government, and terrorism.

The Inspector-General of Police filed an ex-parte motion, which Justice Emeka Nwite granted. The motion accuses ten detained Nigerian protesters, including Andrew Martin Wynne (aka Andrew Povich), Lucky Ehis Obiyan, and Comrade Abdullahi Musa, of these offences.

The accused are also alleged to be responsible for the invasion and burning down of the High Court Complex, NCC office, Printing Press in Kano, and the August 2024 attack on Government House Kano, Kaduna Investment and Promotions Agency’s office, NURTW’s office, and other buildings.

The court ordered the remand of 10 #EndBadGovernance protesters in Kuje and Suleija Correctional Centres after they were arraigned on six-count charges of treason, among others.
